Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Aims For The Stars With New Sports, Ents Unit

has assembled a group of financial advisors across the US to spearhead the launch of its global sports and entertainment division. The advisors recently completed an education program, each attaining the title of sports and entertainment director. They will provide sports and entertainment professionals with asset and liability management, philanthropic and lifestyle advisory services, family governance and advanced financial planning, insurance, investment banking and private equity services. GIS is also developing a financial education curriculum to be taught in sports, film and music departments across the US, with pilots beginning in early 2015. The unit will be led by managing director Drew Hawkins, who was most recently a wealth management regional director at the firm.
